About the Author

Carol is a founding partner of the Long Island News Institute, which holds media classes for people who want to learn about multi-platform media, and television and online reporting and hosting. Until recently, she worked as the Assignment Manager/Anchor at LI News Tonight, a nightly television news program that was produced as a community service of the New York Institute of Technology. Her former students have gone on to jobs around the globe -- and can be seen in our area on MSNBC, Fox News Channel, WNBC, WNYW, WABC, WB11, WLNY and Cablevision's News 12.
Carol is also a novelist. Her first novel, Code Name: Evangeline - an historic spy thriller that takes place in the 1930's - is now available on Kindle. She recently completed her second novel, Evangeline's Ghost, and is currently working on Evangeline's Ghost: The Bridge.
She's a past president of the Press Club of Long Island and continues to serve as a board member. She is also a proud member of SPJ, NATAS, RTDNA, ITW and Sisters in Crime. She has been a speaker or panelist for organizations such as Women in Communications, the Fair Media Council and the Society of Professional Journalists.
Carol lives with her husband and two parrots on Long Island.
